- At the menu at the top: Window>Tool Property (Text) must be checked, click it to do so if it's not already. This is so that the text tool will give you options for font family, size, justification, etc. Why that can even be turned off is beyond me.
- Click the text tool in the Tools Menu (it's a letter "T")
- Use the text tool to click a word in your text block.
- Now command+A to select all the words in the block, or just highlight the words you want to change.
- Now, with the text tool still selected, go to the Tool Property panel (mine shows up in the panel sets to the right of the interface) and select the font and make any other formatting changes you want.
Scott's Clip Studio Paint Tips
Clip Studio Paint (formerly Manga Studio EX) is a great program for making comics and illustrations. The interface can be fiddly and unintuitive at times so this is a repository of instructions of key tasks I need to remember how to do.

How to Change a Font
Argh! That's what I have to say about trying to get help using Clip Studio Paint. It's very unintuitive and complicated and user guides leave key steps out so I still have to hunt around the menus to figure out the missing parts of the instructions! So I'm making this blog for my own reference when I finally figure things out and want to be able to figure it out again later!
